Vice President, Operations will maintain Chapter Policies and Procedures, manage volunteer engagement with the Chapter, keep meeting records and provide the membership with summary Chapter information.
The focus of this new position will be to improve the information sharing with membership and improve "back office" operations. Information about the Chapter’s size, resources, deliverables and finances will be shared with membership. This position will coordinate needs of the Chapter with interested volunteers and provide recognition. Improve continuity as Board membership changes by updating and maintaining policies, procedures, templates, etc to enable more efficient and effective operations.
Qualifications: Active Chapter and National PMI membership; Elected by membership vote.
Vice President, Membership and Community will manage all member, non-profit and community relations including corporate sponsorship.
This position is a focal point for members and the Puget Sound business community. The expectation is that this position will help the chapter grow through membership retention and increased awareness of what the Chapter offers members. Responsibilities include welcoming new members, thanking members for renewals and responding to membership inquiries about services and benefits. Attend monthly meetings to provide a focal point for membership interaction. Maintain membership database and be an information source on membership trends. Plan and conduct surveys of the general membership to gain feedback.
Promote professional Project Management standards and practices in the greater Seattle Business and Non-Profit Community. Serve as a resource for information about PMI and about the practices and standards of our profession. Foster joint ventures, including sponsorships, with members of the Seattle Business Community. Offer PMI services to the Seattle Business and Non-Profit Community.

Vice President, Marketing and Communications will promote the Puget Sound PMI Chapter and be responsible for all communications to current and future membership.
The focus of this position is on communication including emails, web site design and content, social media, job and resume posting and event promotion. The expectation is all Chapter communication is clear, timely and consistently represents the “brand” of the Chapter. This position will enforce policies on advertising on the Chapter website and recommend where and how the Chapter services and events should be advertised. In addition, provide articles and promotional information to PMI for inclusion in PMI Today magazine of Chapter events.
Qualifications: Active Chapter and National PMI membership; Project Management experience in an information technology arena; Elected by membership vote.
Vice President, Programs will plan, schedule and manage all Chapter meetings.
This position manages speaker selection for Chapter meetings and presentations in the Puget Sound region. Meetings include the monthly Chapter meetings in Seattle or Bellevue, Eastside breakfast meetings and other events planned for areas beyond the Seattle core. The position oversees all logistics for event promotion, coordination with the speakers, and venues. This position is responsible for logistics at the venues include audio and video, room arrangements, menus, registration, and membership services. Work with speakers to ensure the content aligns with membership expectations and introduce the speakers at the meetings. Feedback is very important so this position surveys attendees after each event for Board review.

Vice President, Education will manage the Chapter’s professional development and certification programs.
This position is responsible for the presentation of Chapter sponsored Certification programs including the PMP certification. In addition, this position leads initiatives that give members opportunities for professional development such as the 2009 “Its Time” Conference. The position is responsible for all event-planning including venue selection, logistics, content and information to promote the events. Feedback is very important so this position surveys attendees after each event for Board review.
