Entrepreneurship 101 Presentation

With the changing economy that no longer promises job position longevity, many of us now need to explore broader options for career growth, job satisfaction and financial reward.  Perhaps you’ve thought or dreamed about running your own business with your own roadmap and offerings.  Maybe you are not sure or are hesitant and view this option as too risky and never move their dreams to the next step.

This presentation will provide one small businesses’ perspective on how the owner one day made a decision to go out on her own, grow the business in small steps and create a client pool and continue to develop the dream.   To date, Synergy Corps has served over 10 clients in the past two and a half years on contracts varying from 2 days to 1.5 years long.  Synergy Corps will provide the top ten considerations for starting your consulting business.

Presentation

Dealing with Red Projects is more value than recovering them-avoiding them is the real objective. This presentation focuses on a number of techniques learned while recovering projects that greatly improve the chances for success. It introduces the concept of a Guidance Team that gets involved with the project at the customer inception stage and follows the project and team through to the project completion.

The presentation covers:

  • The concept and responsibilities of a Guidance Team;
  • Involvement at the customer's inception of the project;
  • Setting customer expectations early;
  • Ensuring the right team is involved to meet expectations;
  • Methods to ensure a smooth transition as changes occur;
  • Areas that cause projects problems.

It focuses on the customer interaction. This method is very effective in controlling expectations and making sure the project does not wander. At the end of the presentation, the attendee will understand steps they can take as well as processes to implement in their organizations to afert project failure.

Parking will be validated as long as you park in the Hyatt Garage.  Entrance to the garage is on Bellevue way just north of 8th.  Valet parking is not included.
